East Street Archives

$75.00

East Street Archives, a 437-page book, is Gary Land's personal love letter to snowboarding. As an accomplished and award-winning director and photographer whose career has produced an unparalleled portfolio of broadcast and publishing, his story began with photographing his friends surfing and skateboarding in Virginia Beach, VA. When he followed his instincts and moved to Vermont in 1993, Gary focused his energy and relationships around snowboarding. During the next several years he traveled, shot endless bricks of film, edited magazines, made new friends for life, and became an emerging creative force with each passing season. East Street Archives delivers a raw look and emotional journey from Gary about East Coast snowboarding during the golden era of riding in the 1990's. There are many never-seen-before riding and lifestyle images, captured on 35mm film throughout the mountains and streets of the USA and Canada. The book celebrates the riders, personalities, and moments that were instrumental in pushing snowboarding through a historical decade.
